The 15th Senior and 1st Junior Football Skating World Cup 2024 officially opened on 20 November 2024 in Trabzon, Türkiye, bringing together 24 nations from across the globe for one of the most spectacular and historic inaugurations in the sport’s history. The championship commenced under the patronage and support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye, the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, Turkish Airlines, the Trabzon Governor’s Office, and the International Professional Training Certification (IPTC)—the official organizing body appointed by the Federation International Football Skating (FIFS).
The opening ceremony, led by Dr. Mehdi Salman Pour, President of FIFS and President of the 2024 World Cup Organization, set a new benchmark for quality and professionalism. With a structure and atmosphere comparable to major Olympic-level events, the ceremony captivated audiences and elevated the global profile of Football Skating.
The event drew significant attention from national and international television broadcasters, sports media outlets, senior government officials, VIP guests, and federation representatives.
