A landmark press conference was held on 4 September 2024 in Trabzon, Türkiye, where senior officials formally signed the hosting agreement for the 15th Senior and 1st Junior Football Skating World Cup 2024 (FSWC24). The event marked the official confirmation of Türkiye as the host nation for one of the most significant editions in the 142-year history of Football Skating.

The press event, broadcast across national television networks, brought together key authorities from the sport and local government.

During the conference, Dr. Mehdi Salman Pour expressed FIFS’s enthusiasm for bringing the World Cup to Türkiye. He highlighted the country’s proven capability in hosting major international sporting events and stated that the unique conditions in Trabzon would help create “one of the biggest and most memorable Football Skating events ever recorded.”

The International Professional Training Certification (IPTC) was officially appointed by FIFS as the primary organizer of FSWC24, responsible for delivering world-class event management, logistics, and technical operations throughout the tournament.

Trabzon’s Metropolitan Mayor, Mr. Ahmet Metin Genç, emphasized the city’s readiness to welcome athletes, officials, and fans from around the world. He reaffirmed that Trabzon is fully committed to supporting emerging and modern sports such as Football Skating, adding that the city is “proud to host a global championship that reflects the dynamic sporting future of Türkiye.”

The Turkish Football Skating Federation, represented by its president Mr. Saim Adanur, also confirmed its full support, noting the importance of this event in elevating the sport’s profile both nationally and internationally.

Following the speeches, the official hosting contract was signed, placing the 2024 Football Skating World Cup into its operational phase. The Mayor’s Office confirmed that Trabzon would provide all necessary infrastructure, facilities, and administrative support to ensure the championship meets the highest global standards.

With preparations now underway, the signing ceremony stands as a major milestone toward delivering an unforgettable world-class event in November 2024 — one that is expected to set new benchmarks in the sport’s global development.
