IPF Asia Parkour Cup 2020

IPF Asia Parkour Cup 2020

International Parkour Federation (IPF), the world governing body for the sport of Parkour is proud to announce its first-ever IPF ASIA PARKOUR CUP.

In keeping with Covid safety guidelines, the event is being held virtually. Thirty-five top male and female athletes from thirteen IPF member countries representing East, South, and West Asia will compete online in an Instagram-friendly freestyle elimination format. The event is co-sponsored by Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation (POSF), recognized and certified by International Professional Training Certification (IPTC) and the Asia Freerunning Parkour Union (AFPU), IPF’s Continental Governing Body for Asia. All athletes have been submitted by their member federations. “This is a first for Parkour. We’re thrilled to be able to bring all these Parkour communities from across Asia together while still keeping the athletes safe,” said IPF Secretary-General David Thompson. This event follows close upon the heels of the successful “virtual” IPF AFRICA PARKOUR CUP, presented in cooperation with FRMSU (Fédération Royale Marocaine des Sports Urbains) and Association Maroc Movement. “Asia has very strong Parkour communities,” said AFPU President Mehdi Salman Pour. “It’s an honor to share their talent with the wider world.”
